Taking your privacy seriously

Your privacy

We care about your privacy and want you to feel confident about how we use information you give us on our website.  While we don't change our Data Protection Policy often it's worth checking when you visit our sites that you're happy with our current policy statement. Any changes in our privacy police will be prospective only - they won't apply retrospectively unless they legally have to.  At our website, we provide information about our company and its products and services. We may also offer opportunities for employment.

How much personal information do we collect?

We only collect personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, email addresses, activity information, demographic information (age, gender, etc.) that you supply voluntarily. You can choose to give us personal information to obtain information, submit a comment or place an order.

How do we use this information?

We may:

  • email you with updates and news
  • respond to your questions or comments
  • register you for certain features
  • send you brochures and other information about our products and services

If you provide your email address, we’ll ask you if you’re happy to receive further information from us. You’ll only receive these communications if you say yes. We may also ask if you’d like to receive information from members of our family of companies. Again, we’ll only send you this information if you’ve expressly asked for it. If you opt in, you can opt-out again at any time.

Do we use cookies?

We do, and they’re governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (UK Regulations).

A cookie is information a website stores on your computer so it can remember something about you later. We may use cookies to remember your preferred settings for using our site, for example, a high visibility setting. If you disable cookies in your browser settings, you’ll have to action any changes you make to your View settings each time you visit our site.

Our cookies don’t contain any personal details about you that others could read and understand, such as your name and address.  Our cookies collect generic information for Google Analytics. This is anonymous data such as:

  • how many people have visited the site
  • what websites visitors have come from
  • which pages they visit on our site

When looked at collectively, this information helps us improve the site.  Continued use of our site implies acceptance of these terms.

For further information, visit http://www.aboutcookies.org/ or http://www.allaboutcookies.org/.

How to refuse to accept cookies

You can refuse to accept cookies by activating the relevant setting on your browser. You’ll find more information at http://www.aboutcookies.org/. By deleting your cookies, you’ll also disable the cookies that control features such as high visibility in your browser. If you refuse to accept cookies, you may be unable to access some parts of Quadratek's websites.

To stop being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Internet chat

Our sites may offer chat rooms or bulletin boards. If so, check our chat room rules before entering, as you will be bound. Our chat room rules will establish age and other restrictions on participation. Remember, anything you post online is there for the world to see. We make no representations and undertake no obligations as to information you voluntarily post.

Is credit card/transaction information secure?

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to communicate with your browser software when you order from us online. SSL is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept any credit card/transaction and order information you send us. Otherwise, the transmission of information to and from us is not encrypted or secure.
